I upgraded from an apogee "which I love" but.... UAD definitely spells perfection!! I didn't want to run out of processing power with sooooo many plugins in my mixer! Now with a Apollo Quad and an Octo I am one happy camper!! Definitely high quality!! If your sound STILL doesn't sound good.... then it's you!!

This unit, is the most amazing piece of equipment that I ever owned. I've been buying plugins for years and none of them can stand up to the UAD-2 Satellite. Right off the back I could hear a major difference just being set in the default position alone. I recommend this unit to anyone that wants an immediate change in their mixing & mastering.

If your run multiple plugins in your signal chain (and who doesn't) this is the missing link. The system will run better with this gear attached.

So happy with this thing! Not only has it made a huge difference using the uad plugins, but being able to offload a large amount of the processing from my computer has been helping a lot with larger projects! The 1073 is must have, it's magic...

It's just a joy, coming from 2 dsp s (apollo twin) I now have a total of 10 dsp s! Where I had to commit before I now can load my mixing- & mastering session in one go...

great gear for the best plugins available on the market bar none
I'm a massive UA fan and have been for some time. Sure I've had a few issues with gear in the past but when it works it is quite simply the best.
The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that I'm hitting my limit with plugs in regards to both DSP and PGM at times and I feel that shouldn't be happening with the amount of plugs running when it happens, and I would prefer if some plugins were not so heavy on the resources (such as the SSL E channel strip) but as mentioned the plugs this gear enables me to run are quite simply the best there are
