Awesome Compressor
I've overlooked this plugin for a while, then i wanted to try it, compare it with the other LA3A plugin from CLA, wow, this was a beast!!!!...very different from the other, more juice on it, on snare brings the sustain in an awesome way, it's really a go to compressor for everything!, just level the gain reduction and compare with raw sounds!...a world of difference!...and it's one of the cheapest on the UAD collection...a must have!

sweetest reverb plug ever i ever eard
I m adept of analog spring reverb cose i m a roots reaggea producer .i had always very bad feelings with digitals reverb always puting something wrong on my roots mixs.but since i discovered this plug i don t have the same opignon.i guess it because i never earned a real digital reveb.
This verb have a really warmy sound,and is very versatile due to the hight numbers off parameters .
But i feels it really on vocals that she put it s warmth to higher level.

1176 Classic Limiter Plugin Collection
To the disbelievers: Go and try them now.
They are really that different from the Original 1176 LN.
The original was good, these 3 new babies are on a completely differente level. I know its a common place to say this but they do sound "Analog" :)
I just wish Universal Audio would do the same to the LA2A!

Love it!
I have been recording on a 1" 16 track tape machine for years. I never really wanted to go digital, but once I saw THIS plug-in I knew it was time to make the jump. Being a total tape snob I really have to say that UA really blew my mind with the Studer plug-in. I can even make my track sound like a blown out, old hissy reel. I can't wait to get the Ampex next.

Perfect for Bass
I use this every time to make a 'good' DI bass into an amazing bass sound. Easy to use compression, simply set how much of the peaks you want to remove then increase the gain to make up for the reduced output.

Well, if you like the 1176N, you'll be in love with the 1176 Classic Collection Limiter Plug-In.
It sounds fantastic. Add character and color to the sound. Very useful. Recommended.

UA vs Other Plugin creators
I used to think the UA plugins must be special compared to other plugin makers due to needing the special card to run them. Now I have used them I see there is nothing special about them. They are not any better than say Waves or any of the countless other makers making these exact plugins. The only difference I find is these are way more expensive. Why is UA plugs so expensive considering you already bought expensive gear to run them.
They are good plugins but so are all the other companies version of these without the high cost.
