Great sound
Now, I am not a professional mixing engineer, I only do this as a hobby but I am a professionally-trained musician with good ears. And I can say that this is a huuuuge improvement over the legacy plugin. The legacy version used to be quite harsh and bland in the highs. This is different now - totally smooth and "analogue", even without turning any knob. I only give it 4 stars as I would have wished for a one-rack possibility. I find it quite a hassle to load the three plugs into three different slots, then opening them up one by one to get an overview.

It's actually amazing how much better they are than the (really very usable) legacy version. it really does stand up to direct comparison with the hardware. They are cloister to the hardware than any two hardware units are to each other.
A basic tool that no pro studio should be without.

Amazing!
After owning and using numerous tape machines through the 80's and 90's including the Ampex ATR-102, I was dying to hear this plug-in. WOW! it is so simple to use and sounds so good on the mix/master. After being away from recording for some time it has been inspiring to come back and have possibilities available like this plug-in to utilize and create with. Highly recommended as a must have tool in your tool chest!

Lexicon and Twin Duo...anfd thunderbolt

For any personal reason I am still waiting to have a mac Book Pro with thunderbolt port, so I can use the new "Twin Duo" and all your excelents products, so even if I know they are excelent, I still could not use and give you any personal details about it.
Just a little" patiencia" for my side, and continue with the creativity... Thanks anyway for your espetial dedication.

I can sculpt my sounds
Amazing, magic (yes it's like magic), the API Vision is not only a go to plugin but THE plugin: Unison technology, awesome preamp, terrific compressor, jaw dropping EQ, I love the EQ! I'm not a pro (far from that) and what I can do with my Apollo Twin and that plugin is simply a.m.a.z.i.n.g ! I'd like to have sufficient DSP power to put many instances of the API VIsion in my DAW (Logic) and feel like I have an API console. Well, one day I'll have a satellite and then... You don't have the API Vision yet? Get it!

This and the 1176 are the most used UA plugins I own. Use them way more often than the expensive ones like Massive Passive.

Every session I end up using a couple of Pultec's
The Pultec is my go to eq for guitars, bass and vintage keyboards.
I really like the simple lay out of the controls, and the magic that goes on, once you boost and attenuate the same frequency range at the same time
I already liked the original Pultec plug-ins, but the these new versions are just a little better.

By far the best reverb ever made as a hardware and even as a software plugin, which is an exact copy of the original in any way..! Unparalleled warmth and clarity. Amazing work from the UAS guys!!!! A surely must have reverb in your arsenal, mates!!!!

upgrade worth it
I bought my Apollo twin 6 months ago and have never regretted the purchase. Fantastic! I had been using the Legacy 1176's that come with it but decided to look into upgrading. These versions just bring more life, are more open and aggressive than any other 1176 version including CLA with Waves, etc. You just can't beat them short of buying the rack mounted hardware. UA and their commitment to quality is as impressive as it is effective. My mixes are just more professional now and, while I have a decent budget for studio purchases, I could not have accomplished that I am able to do now without the Apollo and great plug ins like the 1176 Classic Limiter Collection.

sounds like a 512C to ears !
I was planning on buying an API 512C preamp but after tracking with the API Vision plugin in Unisson mode I have to my humble ears the same sonic punch and clarity. The EQ is also really musical.

Magic for your Mix!
So far, I'd have to say this is my favorite UA plugin so far. It sounds incredible on everything. I have to repeat what everyone else is saying regarding the Ampex. I've been using this on the the master and it just blends everything together so well. It really has been like magic on my final sound. I was hooked after the first day of using it. Love this plugin. Demo it. I think you'll feel the same way.

Compared with other equalizers Elysia Museq and UAD Precession EQ - quite different for different tasks.
Array liabilities - makes soft highs and rich low.
Easy to manage, but be sure to explore the unit before use. He is not like other equalizers.
Can be replaced by another not to try. In the arsenal must be a sound engineer.
But it is different! And it is not always appropriate. But in those cases when it suits it does its job very nicely

Nailed it!
In comparing this to the original plugin set I wasn't noticing a huge difference on kick, bass, etc... When I put it across the 2bus though it was almost immediate satisfaction. Before adjusting anything I heard and felt that thing that pultec type eq's bring (sheen, weight). UA nailed that. It makes a difference just being in the signal path. Subtle adjustments are really effective and help finish a mix nicely. Great product.

Wanted this plugin for a while now and luckily had it bought as a Christmas present for myself! Absolouley love it... I wanted a nice warm reverb that could give my house tracks something new and it delivered!!
