Excellent tool!
After struggling with a poorly recoded bad sounding bass drum, and trying all sorts of eqs and compressors, I decided to give this a try. It sounded great right as it comes, and after a little tweaking I got excellent results. Later, I used it in the mastering chain for the same project. And after that there was no turning back, had to buy it.

If you haven't got any tape emulations then this is definately for you! Most tape emulations i've tried in the past havent really been that great but Im a bit obsessed with this one. for individual instruments it works like a charm. ive been using it a lot on synths and ive been getting a much more old sound. its bloody lovely.

subtle goodness
I purchased the oxide plug-in because I wanted to replace the tape compression that I have been missing in digital recording. It seems to work but it is very subtle and I guess subtle is good but I was expecting more of a difference. I am still dealing with the learning curve and I assume I will get better at it but for now I will have added very subtle improvement in the sound of my tracks.

WOW! JUST WOW!
I have tried so many of these tape emulator plugins and nothing really has compared to the Oxide Tape plugin. And its not just the pristine sound, but also the ease of use. Very simple controls and instant magic on any track or even bus. This is a go-to in my recording chain before my track even hits the DAW, giving me super sweet tape saturation from the get-go. And at the price you can't say no to this. I cant say enough good things about this amazing plugin... Thanks UA!!! :)

analoge sound in je DAW
Deze plug in is simpel in gebruik maar doet wat hij moet doen op een hele aangename manier.
Het klinkt echt 'analoog' en is goed te gebruiken op losse tracks.

Oxide Lives On My Stem Busses
This was one of those plugs I bought the instant I demo'ed it - which is not uncommon with UA's plugins.. I send 24 tracks via stems to a Dangerous 2Bus+/Dbox combo for summing and an Oxide resides on nearly all my stems.. It's easy enough on dsp that I haven't needed to cut corners elsewhere. I like to drive it's output into the summing box hard on some stems and Oxide makes it easy to dial in what I'm wanting.. Kudos to the UA team! Worth every cent!

Oxide Tape Recorder Plug-In
I love this plug in. It absolutely kills Slate VTM (I'm convinced of that and the fg8 compressor do nothing. Nobody can tell the difference in my sound tests. I'm staying away from them.) However this Oxide Tape is really sounding shat I was searching for in the VTM. It brings out Drums and Bass perfectly leaving a light footprint behind DSP wise for us solo-flexis. I can use multiple instances if I stay away from the Manley Massive Passive for Mastering. I've using the Manley Vari-Mu in place of the Massive Passive and I get tons more resources and it sounds very close to the "Rock" preset on the massive passive. Cant explain that but it frees up enough to use the oxide tape on key tracks. I really like it.

Galaxy Tape Echo
One thing that I learned from combining my pedal board or/to my computers' plug-in's such as the "Galaxy Tape Echo", is that - it's NOT going to sound like you Imagined. You have to make the plug-in 'work for you', rather than Allow the plug-in to modify your sound as to NOT resonate with you. Often times, when I add a new UAD plug-in, I make it work for me by simply needing to tweak something else WITHIN the chain. Once, I tamed this plug-in and made my tweaks, my sound now "purrs". A+ to all my UAD Plug-ins (and there are many) because they just work great !

Punch it...punch it real good
Having worked with tape for over 40 years has made me long for the days of the warmth and bottom end punch that tape saturation can produce. At last Oxide has found the magic button. Place this plug ahead of your final processing and watch the magic return.

Galaxy Tape on guitar
I get this plugin a few days ago. I didn't know much about it, so I use it on electric guitar for some space effect.
I was really surprised by the warm sound and the deep effect that I get with this little plugin. I will try on vocal too.
