Really good channel strip that has a very punchy & tight sound. Preamp section is also nice. Did not use the gate yet. Compression & EQ is very good. The interaction between the different sections comes in very handy. Too bad the EQ is not replaceble with the 560.

Discreet and very soft.
Good solution for all situations. Including the master fader.

Great compressor, awesome for saturation
Really love it to drive DI Guitars. Gives you some new possibilities, compared to all the other 1176 plugins out there. Makes me want to have the hardware version even more.

Always happy!
Always happy when I think about this plugin. This tool got me out of creative crisis. Yes! This tool is so good! Open up new horizons. And now I can not imagine my job without Studer a800.
P.S. Thanks UA and forgive me for grammatical errors..

Great
Very close to the original, once you try it, you can't live without it.

1176 heaven !
Just purchased and evaluated the newer 1176 MK2 compressors and have to say they sound absalutly wonderful.
Have owned a couple of originals and built many clones and the US plugins sound identical .
Well done UA and they said it could never be done!

There is no other emulation like this for pultec
Upgrade. I see some comments about the fact that is not sounding very diferent from the old one. This is not true, i use both because they are diffrent. The new one is very nice and the depth of field you achive with this is great.
Not a native english speaker. Forgive please any strange language inaccuracies

Only one a couple of things missing...
OK- lets be clear, the Blue stripe rev A is great, not far off at all and totally cool to use. The Blackface is fine- just like the hardware, I never really got excited by these but its uses are there. The AE I like- not very 1176y to me but finding more places I like it. This bundle is worth the money though just for the A.
What is missing for me is an 1178 and a REV H 76. Too often overlooked but they are such great tools in the hardware world I'd love to see them added to this. In fact I'd swap a good emulation of those for the E and AE!

Fantastic Sound
This one was first on the list to get when I purchased my Apollo 16. Using it on the UAD Console then going into my DAW, the sound is amazing. Plus there is no latency while tracking. This has been a game changer for me. My focus is tracking drums for rack, punk and aggressive type music. But I would highly recommend the API Vision Channel Strip for just about anything being recorded. It is just as good on guitars and vocals. You won't be disappointed.

A must have for drums. Desert Island Plug.
This plug will allow you to sculpt your sounds in an exciting and intuitive manner, and the results are very musical. This has all the tools I need to fashion a sound my ears can be happy with. I find that the auto gain feature on the compressor allows me to dial in the right amount of punch without being fooled by volume increases. The gentle slopes on the filters are just enough to cut away the mud and harshness. The gate is incredible on close miked drums for getting rid of unwanted decays and ringing. I have the 550a eq plugin, but this 4 band allows for more shelf and bell options that I can use to sculpt sounds more precisely than with the broad stroke 550a eq. The selected bands are well thought out. Preamp equals harmonics. Uad ftw.

Silky Sound!
Previous Version is good. but automatically Increase Gain.
but this Version adds just some more Color. No adds gain.
Sounds SIlky. BUY!

Lexicon 224 sounds fantastic
This reverb plugin has been worth every penny, even in just the first few weeks of use. It's possible to create a rich array of reverberation sounds, from short and subtle to long, deep, and immersive. It is now my go-to reverb for monitoring -- and often for tracking -- my electric guitar. Although I have not had the opportunity to use the hardware version and make that comparison, I have used a number of high end hardware and software reverbs, and this one definitely shines among the group. It's been great as well for matching recorded ADR to appropriate spaces for film scenes, and for creative purposes in sound design.

LA-2AmkII - amazing software
This is for the NEW mkII LA-2A (I really wish UA would separate the reviews as it really clouds people's opinions)
anyway...
amazing plugin. I A/B'd my hardware (old) LA-2A and tried to get the new plugins to cancel out with the hardware. just using the amplifier stages (no peak reduction) there was some cancellation but nowhere near 100%... not surprising though, different tubes, components, etc. there was a LOT of reduction though showing that the circuits are definitely similar and in the same family. Things got really interesting when I added compression. The emulations and my hardware track almost 99% the same, even up to 10db of reduction, the attack, release, etc. were nearly identical. Pretty impressive.

Overall, UAD Ain't DMG
If you want the subtle harmonics ... ohhh and noise and aliasing (yeuk!) that is generated once you use a few instances of these plugins within your mix, then buy the Pultec Passive EQ Collection.
If you want the Pultecs without the noise, without the aliasing, without the frequency limitations, and packaged into a fully-customisable EQ with flawless sound and an amazing top end ... buy DMG's Equilibrium.
Then retire your UAD Millennia too...

Well done UA!
I always loved the LA-2a, now I have tons of them and in different flavors!
Thanks UA!

Awesome Reverb
For me Lexicon 224 is the best reverb ever! This plugin is like the original hardware.
