Amazing package
Amazing package, definitely my favourite software compressor bundle. Because I think the original UAD 1176 plug is pretty decent, I was a little cautious to even try the new versions because I didn't think that they would worth trying out. I was wrong, they use a ton of processing power, but are well worth it. So good in fact, I literally swapped my EL8X Distressor for an 1176LN reissue!
Best UAD plugin, followed by the Studer and the EMT 140. No regrets!

Excellent reverb plugin
I used many reverb plugins and this (UAD Lexicon 224) is the one that has given more space to my mix, I felt that I realmete spatiality in the mix, I'm very glad I bought this plugin.
he usado muchos plug ins de reververacion y este (Lexicon 224 se UAD) es el que mas espacio le ha dado a mi mezcla, realmete senti que creo espacialidad en la mezcla, estoy muy contento de haber comprado este plugin

Nothing Better!
Best sounding Reverb ever. Haven't had it long, but very sweet on a lot of stuff! Been wanting this for quite awhile and finally got it. Kick drum sounds really powerful and vocals are able to get a place in the mix like never before. I have a lot to learn, but I am sure I am going to like this plug in. It will be my go to Reverb!

Best 1176's !
It just sounds right, I love the bluestripe, all that tight and crisp midrange, really pushing the vocal in a beautiful way!

A NEW KIND OF MONSTER
I've had the pleasure to work on real Studers and Otaris a few years back and I own a Tascam MS-16 1" tape machine, and both the UAD Studer and ATR plugs, so I guess I have a pretty good perspective on how tape really does sound and what plugins can do in terms of fatness and saturation.
Being a little skeptical as this new plug was released, and owning it's biggest brothers (Studer and ATR) I thought this was just a cheaper version for people not willing to spend the 350 bucks. That was until I demoed it!
Oxide is a completely different beast than its older brothers. It imparts attitude and 3Dness that I love. It's a must for all tape aficionados & saturation seekers. This is not an upgrade/downgrade from other plugs, its something else.

Good buy
The reverb is a great plug in. It's a good option to free up some space in the studio. To me it doesn't have the same depth sonically as the hardware. But, it's honestly a shockingly close replication.

Refreshing quality
It's fresh and inspiring . To my ears it has a more pronounced yet sweet high end compared to the other unison strips . The filters are great and the eq transparent . It is a definite " must have" !

Go-To for Vocals
These plugins are my go-to vocal smoothing tools. They can be driven quite hard without any artifacts, just like the hardware units, and they add that little bit of warmth/saturation that grabs a bit of attention and makes the vocal stand out in the mix. Very true to the original hardware and simple to set and use. Sounds great when trying to smooth over a source.

Ridiculously Good Model
These plugins actually capture the excitement and grit of the original hardware unit. The Rev E sounds amazing on drums and vocals. Blows other models out of the water in tone. I've worked with the hardware models, and these are the only plugin models that actually get the tone of the feedback circuit coupling with the attack and release correct. Others are too clean and have to be driven too hard to get anywhere close to the original hardware. Universal Audio nailed it.

Youth and beauty
Ever since my first 'real' studio adventure, in a time far away, in a place called Paradise, I have yearned to hold a lexicon remote control in my hand. That strange white box, reminiscent of an off white storm trooper, boasting an 80's aesthetic that is truly unmistakable and tied to a hidden machine by a rats tail cable that promises a feeling of electricity, has always been an enigma and a holy grail of cavernous and beautiful sound. It can be both delicate and heavy handed, crunchy and sparkling and really can be the go to reverb for any application given the right usage. I'm but a performer and as such could not really hope to own the real thing, but, this software brings me oh so close. Any shortcomings pale in the face of its beauty!

An unexpectedly useful and versatile tool
I rarely use channel strip plugins, but went ahead and purchased this on a coworker's advice. Haven't had time yet to run it through places, but it's clear enough already I *will* be using it extensively. What a lovely plugin. Very tight and defined sound; not as 'dry' as the SSL but has just the right amount of color. The preamp is not harsh, and wonderfully warms bass & drums. The EQ is what you'd expect from an API EQ plugin. What I was surprised with is gate -- it is indeed so dynamic and responsive, just brilliant. Basically, that entire middle 'gate/comp' strip is brilliant and will surely find much use. Overall, I didn't expect to be as excited with this strip as I actually am. But, yes, it does it up DSP instances quickly [sigh].

Oxide!!!!
I love this plugin! It really glues my mix together and removes some harshness even. I have used the Kramer tape version and it doesn't compare to my ears. Good job UAD !!!

Nice GUI. I wish it wasn't such a resource hog.

Speechles
I have never been a fan of channel strip neither do i know how the original hardware or the console sound like , In the past i tried a few but this thing here is the real deal.
i went back to few old mixes to try it out. it tortured the stack of drum kicks that i had a hard time putting together. I use a lot of drum kick stacked and the moment i cranked the PREAMP i could feel a sense of relieve finally. the comp is very good in all the things i have thrown at it and it is my now go to when stacking synth and drums. I would not go for the eq on a surgical mission but very good to tame things with. again thanks to UAD for bringing this to people like me.

Best 1176 Emulation out there!
Tested these extensively against other emulations of this classic compressor and UAD blows the rest away. I've never been fortunate to own the hardware model so can't say if it matches to the real thing but I can say it sounds absolutely mind blowing! My only criticism is that it it's quite DSP hungry.
