Great for when you have a good sound and you just want to add a touch of color
It’s surprisingly different from the 1081 and 1073. I guess UAD really does model all the circuitry behind the panel. This combined with a Pultec and Oxide makes for a really great guitar/bass chain. 10/10

If you don’t want to buy the 1073 or 1084 because you have entirely too many EQs as it is, you can save some dough and still get the Neve sparkly on your tracks. Smash it for some nice saturation, or just give a track a little lift, either during mixing or tracking.

The 1073 DSP saver!
This is a fullworthy 1073 unison preamp, with around 12% DSP load you can easily save up DSP to add additional plugins to more tracks.
To have both the neve 73 preamp and spare DSP is a super-nobrainer

Hard To Use/Native Logic Plugin Sounds Better
I never thought I'd ever actually say that out loud about a UAD. plugin, but this one was hard to use, and didn't sound that good. LPX has a Neve 1073/84 plugin that's easier to use and sounds better. Sorry, UAD.

Spot on emulation!
Very impressed with the Neve 1084 emulation with unison technology. The main studio I’ve used in the past for recordings has a Neve Genesys with the 1084 preamp/eq option so I am very familiar with the preamps and eq’s. UA really nailed it! I’m so happy having this addition along with the Apollo rack I’ve purchased this year for my home studio! Thanks Universal Audio!

Wow... just wow.
My wife is a professional singer/voice coach and sings in my compositions. I was using the helios pre's, and others, for a while and they were doing well. I used to work with a Neve 1073 and 1084 in my band days, and thought that they were the greatest sounding preamp ever. So as soon as I saw that unison technology compatability, I knew I needed it. I opted for the 1073 since I wanted it strictly for vocals and acoustic guitar. My recording quality has increased so much since. I am blown away. My wife cried after hearing herself. She said that she doesn't have to record in a million- dollar studio to get the sound she wants. 5 stars!

Great Little plugin this is adds that neve sound i make Drum & bass music sounds greats on channel inserts, buses, master works on anything can get some crunch and dirt out of it too i like to push these plugins for dnb drums but a little goes a long way with this plugin use it all the time now !

Neve 1081 was exactly what I needed for versatile EQ
The Neve 1081 was exactly what I needed. I own the 1073 and 1084. The 1073 and 1084 are 3 band DSP hogs and the 1073 only has one choice for the high end. The 1081 is much more versatile with its 4 bands and variable Q while using a lot less DSP. This is now one of my favorite Go-To Plug-in EQ's along with the API-550A and Pultecs. Thanks UAD.

New life for some old tracks!
I have been mixing some old tracks lately. This Neve Preamp along with Studer A800 really brought the big studio sound to tracks I recorded years ago on Mackie 8 bus console! Really fantastic!
