What can I say that hasn't been said?
It sounds really great. It's amazing how you can give a delay so many knobs and options, and it makes it so much harder to get "the sound".
These simple controls make it easy to dial in what you're looking for. Also, definitely watch the UA video about it. Some great tips and tricks.

Brings static tracks to life
After I purchased his plugin I find myself using it on many more sources than I initially thought, just from experimenting. It has become a cool mixing tool that I love using. Very usable indeed. Some uses I have discovered since the purchase.
- It is really cool in sync mode as a slapback echo on drums to create sort of a ghost note feel to straightforward grooves.
-On distorted rhythm guitars try the preset "Eddies Frontend" to thicken the sound. It works equally well as an insert post recording.
- Try some synced delay on a piano track and feel the thing become more vibrant.

Fun...
... to work with. Not the only delay you'll ever need but a good complement to standard delays.

Always wanted this one
Its good but to be honest i expected a bit more. It is very diverse and can accomplish a lot creatively. Im glad I have it but if it was between two plugins and I could only get one, I would most likely be leaning towards the other.

Dub Delay galore
Fantastic gritty dub delay. Like all my other UAD plug ins the only thing that stops this from being the best ever is UAD's failure to include midi learn functioning...

Great plugin!
This is a great plugin. Very versitile! I use it mainly on guitars and vocals.

Not bad
This is very much a one trick pony, but it does that trick very well. I don't have all the functionality as something like Timeless, but sometimes creating a dozen modules to get a good tape delay is a bit unrealistic when clients are bearing down on you.

Stable echo
The EP-34 is a good replica of a tape-based echo. I have never used the original to this IRL. But I grow up with Roland Space echoes and I think those have to be an important part of any home studio. I think this one is a good complement to UA's replica of Rolands space echo. They differ alot in character and that is a nice thing.

Echo fantasy +++

As useful as the real thing
I demoed this EP-34 on a project, and immediately bought it. I've used the hardware version for years, both live and in the studio, and the EP-34 Tape Echo Plug-In sounds and responds like the modeled hardware, along with the quirks and artifacts. Having the ability to overload the input via the recording level gives me the ability to be expressive with the plug in. And...no banging on it to get the tape moving!
I wish it had a stereo version since I often use two of these plug ins set slightly differently to get stereo effects.

Automate this!
Wow, great vibe! Cool for subtle delay effects, but even more awesome if you automate this! An instant portal into space.

so DSP hungry!
I love the sound.. presets are inspiring enough, and easy to tweak. Sync is AWESOME.. only complaint is that it cripples my Duo DSP. This guy is power hungry, but sounds incredible.

Stellar sound
Excellent though heavy on the DSP. Great gritty sound when self oscillating and adds impressive width and depth:)

Great weird delay for sound effects
I have been using this delay as sound effect for EFX tracks. It especially gets interesting around the point of self-oscillating. the playing with the delay times creates great soundscapes. i love it!

Excellent software, like i expected.
With the wet button, when you print your audio and move it ahead according to the delay time , you've got a great tape sound without delay at no more expense.
The only drawback is the maximum delay time of 700ms. That's a 1/2 at 67bpm.
I thought software could beat the hardware on this.
Too bad, but not enough to ruin the pleasure and true character it adds to your music.

useful
I've never used the actual unit, but as far as i can tell, this plug-in mimics the echo very well!
It takes some getting used to in order to fully understand the way such an echo works but once you get the hang of it you can make some very unique sounds out of it!

Wartime's favorite delay plugin
Great plugin! Since I never worked with the original device it took me a while to get used to the interface, but when I did..oh man! The sound is great and it gives this vintage feel that cannot be found in the other VSTs I use. Highly recommended!

EP-34 Great for tape echo emulation
Very impressive job of recreating the Echoplex but I am looking forward to more robust delay offerings from UAD. UAD really makes the very best of the best in plugin effects and it needs a more full featured plugin similar to Echo Boy or PSP 608 Multi-Delay.
You make and I will definitely purchase. That being said - The EP-34 is as close to tape delay as you can get.

Vocal Warmth inside the box
This plugin does something special that just brings a vocal to a warm place where it belongs.
Use with EMT 140 and Copper Time Cube and you can get a vocal sound that is just perfect.
